Baseball Recap: Cherokee Comes Up Short

Cherokee fell victim to Hayesville and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Yellowjackets, falling 7-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Tuesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Cherokee and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Hayesville, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-4.

Coincidentally, Cherokee and Hayesville will both be playing Swain County the next time they take the field. The Yellowjackets will head out to face the Maroon Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Braves will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
