It was a good run, but Lighthouse Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Shoals Jug Rox. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-17, 25-12.

Taylor Helbert paced Lighthouse Christian Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Helbert got some help from Jane Holdeman and her 14 assists. Finally, Helbert was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Lighthouse Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Shoals, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-3.

Looking ahead, Lighthouse Christian Academy will square off against Owen Valley at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Shoals, they will take on Bloomfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
