Illini Bluffs lost to Brimfield back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Indians. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Brayden Fargher spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Brendan Bacon was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Drew Dunn also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Illini Bluffs' victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Brimfield, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-3-1 record.

Looking ahead, Illini Bluffs will venture away from home to face off against Athens at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Brimfield, they will face off against Deer Creek-Mackinaw at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Indians are facing the Chiefs at the right time seeing as the Chiefs are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
