Basketball Recap: Berea Bulldogs vs. Greenwood Eagles

The Berea Bulldogs lost against the Greenwood Eagles back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Berea fell 58-46 to the Eagles. Berea has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nathan Moore had an outrageously good game for Greenwood as he scored 23 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moore has scored all season. Brantavious Hawkins was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.

Berea has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Greenwood, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berea will take on the Green Wave at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Easley is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Greenwood, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on February 5th. Greenville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 19 contests -- so hopefully the Eagles like a good challenge.
