Volleyball Recap: Weber Warriors vs. Farmington Phoenix

Weber lost against Farmington back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors fell just short of the Phoenix by a score of 3-2.

Weber couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Farmington a tough time in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-29, 30-28, 19-25, 25-20, 15-12.

Bridger Smith paced Weber's offense, picking up 14 kills. Smith got some help from Jake Ahlmer and his 20 assists. Finally, Smith was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Farmington's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Charlie Evans led the charge by getting 17 digs and one assist. Those 17 digs gave Evans a new career-high.

Weber now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Farmington, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Weber will host Fremont at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors are facing the Silverwolves at the right time seeing as the Silverwolves are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Farmington, they will head out to square off against Syracuse at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Phoenix surely won't give up without a fight.
