Waverly won the last time they faced Ashland-Greenwood and things went their way on Saturday too. The Vikings walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bluejays. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.
Gracie Lauenstein paced Waverly's offense, picking up 12 kills. Lauenstein got some help from McKinley Moser and her 18 assists. Emmalyn Quinn controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Despite the defeat, Ashland-Greenwood saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Averi Bridges had ten digs. Hadley Beerbohm also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.
Waverly's record now sits at 16-2. As for Ashland-Greenwood, they moved to 11-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.
