Baseball Recap: South Davidson Comes Up Short

South Davidson lost against Gray Stone Day back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The South Davidson Wildcats lost 15-5 to the Gray Stone Day Knights. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Davidson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ronnie Benfield, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave Benfield a new career-high in doubles (two). Zander Floyd was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base.

South Davidson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Gray Stone Day, the win also got them back to even at 2-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Gray Stone Day beat South Davidson by a score of 14-3 on Thursday.
