Paul Laurence Dunbar's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dominic Faulkner, who threw for 114 yards and two TDs on only seven passes, and also rushed for 82 yards. 92 of Faulkner's passing yards were hauled in by Ryan Barrett, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Meanwhile, Lafayette came up short against Tates Creek on Friday and fell 21-14. The loss continues a trend for the Generals in their meetings with the Commodores: they've now lost five in a row.

Lafayette's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Paul Laurence Dunbar, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Things could have been worse for Paul Laurence Dunbar, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 38-22 loss to Lafayette in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
