Duanesburg extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 7-4 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cobleskill-Richmondville Bulldogs. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2017.

Genevieve Rickert put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed 6.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off ten hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Duanesburg will head out to challenge Berne-Knox-Westerlo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cobleskill-Richmondville, they will venture away from home to take on Canajoharie at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
