Baseball Recap: Manual Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Manual, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past the Jefferson Saints 15-0 on Thursday. The Thunderbolts haven't had any issues with the Saints recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Jake Carney was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Manual's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Jefferson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
