Softball Recap: Diamond Bar Comes Up Short

Diamond Bar extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping their season record down to 8-11 in the process. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Claremont Wolfpack. The Brahmas were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolfpack earlier this season, when they won 7-2.

As for Claremont, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since March 28, 2024.

For Claremont's part, Khloe Moran spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on nine hits.

At the plate, Claremont saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Moore, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Diamond Bar wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 14-1 defeat against Ayala on the 29th. As for Claremont, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-1 loss against Glendora on the 29th.
