It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Perry can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Washington Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Maroons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Warriors are ranked 16th).

Perry wouldn't let Washington keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Perry can thank Sutton Bonham and Marcus Mcpherson for forcing both of them.

A big part of Washington's victory came down to the chemistry between Creed Barrett and his top target Mason Singletary. Barrett threw for 281 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 14.1 yards per attempt while Singletary picked up 181 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Singletary's longest reception was for an incredible 79 yards. Washington also got a significant boost from Hudson Howard, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 117 yards.

Perry dropped their record down to 6-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Washington, the win for them keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Perry does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Washington, they will square off against Kiefer on Friday. One thing working in Washington's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last nine matchups.
