Basketball Game Preview: Snow Canyon Warriors vs. Dixie Flyers

Snow Canyon is 8-2 against Dixie since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Snow Canyon Warriors will face off against the Dixie Flyers at 7:00 p.m. Snow Canyon will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Snow Canyon is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Cedar: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Snow Canyon blew Cedar out of the water with a 66-31 final score. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 games by 23 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Olivia Hamlin, who almost dropped a double-double on 33 points and nine boards. The contest was her 47th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Jensen, who went 5 of 11 en route to 12 points along with six assists and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Dixie, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 49-40 win over Crimson Cliffs on Monday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Flyers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Snow Canyon pushed their record up to 21-0 with the win, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.6 points. As for Dixie, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.

Everything came up roses for Snow Canyon against Dixie in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 71-38 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Snow Canyon since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
