Recap: The Academy Wildcats vs. Eaton Reds
The Academy Wildcats lost against the Eaton Reds back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Academy took a 54-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eaton. The Academy has not had much luck with Eaton recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, The Academy still got an impressive performance from Gavin Massler, who scored 18 points along with 7 rebounds. Massler scored a full 43.9% of The Academy's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Boychuk, who scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds.
The Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Eaton, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
The Academy will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Brighton at 5:00 p.m. on December 6th. Hopefully Brighton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Friday. As for Eaton, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Holy Family at 7:00 p.m.
