Softball Recap: Leo Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Leo waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Carroll Chargers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Leo saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Moore, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Moore has posted since back in May of 2024. Emma Connally was another, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Leo pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Carroll, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-2.

Leo and Carroll should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. The Lions (ranked 16th) will meet New Haven (ranked 314th) at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Carroll will take on Fort Wayne Snider at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (26 vs. 285).
