Basketball Game Preview: Morro Bay Pirates vs. Nipomo Titans

Morro Bay is on a three-game streak of home losses, Nipomo a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Morro Bay Pirates will host the Nipomo Titans at 6:30 p.m. Both are at an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but likely not for long.

Morro Bay came up short against Righetti on Saturday, falling 68-42. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1131st, while the Warriors are ranked 508th).

Meanwhile, Nipomo came up short against Coastal Christian on Thursday and fell 50-41.

Nipomo's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Morro Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 3-17.

Morro Bay barely slipped by Nipomo when the teams last played on January 10th, winning 41-40. Does Morro Bay have another victory up their sleeve, or will Nipomo turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
