Ridgeway is 9-1 against Kirby since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Ridgeway Roadrunners will head out to square off against the Kirby Cougars at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Ridgeway turned things around against Hamilton on Tuesday. They really took it to the Wildcats for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-37 victory. The Roadrunners pushed the score to 58-34 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats had little chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, Kirby was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 67-61 to Power Center Academy. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Kirby's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Ridgeway, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8.

Ridgeway was able to grind out a solid victory over Kirby in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 89-78. Does Ridgeway have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kirby turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
