Baseball Game Preview: Peninsula Panthers vs. North Saxons

The Peninsula Panthers will face off against the North Saxons at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Peninsula has given up an average of 6.8 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Peninsula came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Heritage Christian, falling 11-1.

Meanwhile, North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Millikan. That's two games in a row now that the Saxons have lost by exactly three runs.

Josiah Reed made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Shouta Saito, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Peninsula's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for North, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.
