Volleyball Recap: Jordan-Matthews Finds Home Court Redemption Against Freedom Christian Academy

There's no place like home for Jordan-Matthews, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Freedom Christian Academy Patriots on Monday. For the Jets, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Patriots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Jordan-Matthews had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-11, 25-19, 25-19.

Despite the defeat, Freedom Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Andrew McBroom had six aces and five digs. The dominant performance gave McBroom a new career-high in digs.

Jordan-Matthews' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Freedom Christian Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Jordan-Matthews wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Seaforth on the 11th. As for Freedom Christian Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Alpha Academy on the 11th.
