Connecticut High School Football Rankings

Who's up and who's down

There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. We'll tackle that and more in this week's report.

Can't Touch This

Greenwich's 48 - 20 win over Xavier last week had a lot to do with the leadership of junior Tysen Comizio. Comizio ran for 253 yards and also punched in four touchdowns. That performance landed Comizio among the top power-ranked players for the week.

This Week's Big Showdown

On paper, the match between Choate Rosemary Hall School (2nd in the power rankings) and Avon Old Farms (16th) looked as though it might be one of the more compelling ones, but things did not play out that way on the field. Choate Rosemary Hall School took its contest against Avon Old Farms by a conclusive 48 - 27 score. The dominant performance adds to Choate Rosemary Hall School's intimidating total: it now has nine blowout victories so far this season.
