Volleyball Recap: Northeast Dubois Comes Up Short

Northeast Dubois was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Eastern Greene Thunderbirds. The Jeeps were not able to make up for their defeat to the Thunderbirds from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Northeast Dubois started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-20, 15-8.

Bailey Werner paced Northeast Dubois' offense, picking up seven kills. Werner got some help from Raynie Schnell and her 17 assists. Camille Betz and Jenna Vogel kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Northeast Dubois' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Eastern Greene, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Northeast Dubois has already played their next match (against Sullivan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Eastern Greene, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Washington on the 23rd.
