Volleyball Recap: Dover-Eyota Gets the Win

Dover-Eyota's tournament run continued when they took on Concordia Academy on Saturday. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Beacons 2-1.

Anndi Frie paced Dover-Eyota's offense, picking up nine kills. Frie got some help from Lauren Peck and her 19 assists. Peck also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Faith Kurtz, each putting up two.

Evelyn Brown and Addie Pickett certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Brown had three digs and two aces, while Pickett had five digs and one assist.

Dover-Eyota's victory bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Concordia Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-13.

Dover-Eyota has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Sibley East on the 11th. As for Concordia Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-1 draw against Big Lake on the 11th.
