Baseball Game Preview: Bath County Wildcats vs. East Carter Raiders

Bath County is 0-3 against East Carter since April of 2015 but things could change on Wednesday. The Wildcats will venture away from home to challenge the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Bath County came up short against Fairview and fell 5-1. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, East Carter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Russell. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Raiders have suffered since June 7, 2024.

Bath County's loss dropped their record down to 16-15-1. As for East Carter, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-14.

Bath County might still be hurting after the 8-0 loss they got from East Carter in their previous meeting back in May of 2023. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
