Basketball Game Preview: Jordan Christian Prep Seahawks vs. Four Corners Coyotes

Two dominant guards in Amelia Williams and Danielys Pena Ponce are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Jordan Christian Prep Seahawks will venture away from home to face off against the Four Corners Coyotes at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Saturday, Jordan Christian Prep had to suffer through a 85-8 loss at the hands of IMG Academy. While losing is never fun, the Seahawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 156th, while the Ascenders are ranked third).

Meanwhile, Four Corners earned a 45-35 win over Winthrop College Prep Academy on Wednesday.

Four Corners has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.9 points per game. As for Jordan Christian Prep, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-9.

Everything came up roses for Jordan Christian Prep against Four Corners in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 79-37 victory. In that contest, Jordan Christian Prep amassed a halftime lead of 50-18, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
