Baseball Recap: Roxborough Comes Up Short

Roxborough was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 16-1 to the South Philadelphia Rams. If the Wolves were looking for revenge after losing 6-1 to the Rams when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Roxborough's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for South Philadelphia, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roxborough will face off against Bodine at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The Ambassadors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.25 runs per game on average), something the Wolves will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for South Philadelphia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tacony Academy Charter at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of.
