            Softball Recap: McBain Ramblers vs. Beal City Aggies        
        
		
        
        
            McBain had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but  on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 4-7 to make it eight. They came up short against  the Beal City Aggies, falling  18-0. The shutout was out of character for the Ramblers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was  back in April.
As for Beal City, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record  this season. Considering they have won 13 games by more than five  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
For Beal City's part,  Emma Block made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out seven batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). Block has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 1-for-2 with one  home run and four  RBI. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Macy Johnston was a standout: she fired off two  home runs, two  stolen bases,  and five  RBI while going 2-for-2. Those  two  home runs gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Madason Fisher, who  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with one  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI.
While McBain had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
