Sterling came tearing into Thursday's match with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Paul VI Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on Thursday.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Sterling got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 27-29, 25-23.

Sterling's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-10. As for Paul VI, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-11.

As of now, neither Sterling nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
