Soccer Game Preview: Poly vs. Paloma Valley

The Poly Bears will challenge the Paloma Valley Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

If Paloma Valley heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Poly took over last week. Poly had just enough and edged Rancho Cucamonga out 2-1 on Friday.

Marco Guillen-Mendez and Adrian Navarro scored both of Poly's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Paloma Valley was forced to settle for a draw. They and Indio finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 draw last Friday.

Poly is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2-2 record this season. With that draw, Paloma Valley's record moves to 8-4-1.

Poly took their win against Paloma Valley in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 5-0. Does Poly have another victory up their sleeve, or will Paloma Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
