Volleyball Recap: El Dorado Starts Season with Victory on the Road

El Dorado had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Harmony Science Academy. That's more bragging rights for the Aztecs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The final score came out to 25-6, 25-8, 25-16.

Davanee Montelongo had an outrageously good game as she had 19 digs, nine kills, and five aces. Those nine kills gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Garcia, who had 22 assists and five aces.

Looking ahead, El Dorado will face off against Greenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Harmony Science Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Immanuel Christian at 6:00 p.m. on September 2.
