Basketball Recap: Muskogee's Win Ends 14-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Muskogee's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Ponca City Wildcats by a score of 37-24. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 41-29 back in December of 2024.

Muskogee's victory ended a 14-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-8. As for Ponca City, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.

Muskogee and Ponca City could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. Muskogee will challenge Westmoore at 6:00 p.m. on Friday down 109 places (202 vs. 93). Muskogee is no doubt hoping to put an end to a 14-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. Similarly, Ponca City (ranked 264th) will meet Union (ranked 36th) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
