Volleyball Recap: David Anderson Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

David Anderson unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Columbiana Clippers on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

David Anderson took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-20, 25-21.

Their offense was headlined by Stefanee Stacey and Alayna Householder, who picked up five kills apiece. Stacey really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 15. Maddie Marshalek controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Columbiana pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
