Basketball Recap: Washington Skates Past Harmon with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Washington). They claimed a resounding 96-34 win over the Harmon Hawks. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 24 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Washington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jamari Williams, who went 8 for 10 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven steals and five assists. Those seven steals gave Williams a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Boggess, who went 8 for 11 on his way to 17 points in addition to five assists and five boards.

Williams wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Washington was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory (which was Washington's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Harmon, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Washington will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Mary's Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Harmon also won't see the court for a while: their next match is against Sumner Academy on January 7, 2025.
