Baseball Recap: Denair Takes a Loss

Denair dropped their record down to 9-8-1 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against the Mariposa County Grizzlies, falling 8-0. The Coyotes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Grizzlies earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

Denair saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Lundquist, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

As for Mariposa County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-9. The result was nothing new for the Grizzlies, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

On Mariposa County's side, the result came thanks to Ben Lingenfelter's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, Brayden Getty was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. James Rogerson was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

As of now, neither Denair nor Mariposa County have any future games scheduled.
