La Vernia had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They breezed by the John F. Kennedy Rockets to the tune of 60-33. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 21 points or more this season.

La Vernia is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points per game. As for John F.
