Basketball Recap: John Hancock Academy Takes a Loss

John Hancock Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 80-58 to the Thomas Jefferson Academy Jaguars. The Rebels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

John Hancock Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Thomas Jefferson Academy, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. John Hancock Academy will welcome Twiggs Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. John Hancock Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Thomas Jefferson Academy, they will host Augusta Prep Day at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
