Baseball Recap: Northern Durham Has No Trouble Against Green Level

After only one run in their last game, Northern Durham made sure to put some runs up on the board against Green Level on Wednesday. The Knights put the hurt on the Gators with a sharp 12-5 win. Considering the Knights have won four matches by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jack Leitzel was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one triple. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. J.P. Rodio was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Northern Durham was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The victory got Northern Durham back to even at 6-6. As for Green Level, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

Coming up, Northern Durham will face off against Williams at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Green Level, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-4 loss against Chatham Central on the 3rd.
