With a playoff win on the line, Hilliard rose to the challenge on Monday. They put the hurt on the Fort White Indians with a sharp 12-5 win. The Red Flashes' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Braden Bentley, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Ashley, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

With the victory, Hilliard broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-16. As for Fort White, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.

Hilliard will take on Lafayette at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Red Flashes surely won't give up without a fight. Fort White does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
