Basketball Recap: Lakeside Takes a Loss

Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Pymatuning Valley Lakers and fell 55-27. The Dragons were probably out for revenge after losing 74-30 to them when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jolene Sharpe went supernova for Pymatuning Valley, going 7 for 9 on her way to 15 points and six steals. Sharpe is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Mckenna Jordan was another key player, going 6 of 11 on her way to 13 points and three steals.

Lakeside's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Pymatuning Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.

Lakeside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 39-36 win against Geneva on the 20th. As for Pymatuning Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 64-21 victory against Windham on the 20th.
