Soccer Game Preview: Mason vs. Waverly

The Mason Bulldogs will take on the Waverly Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mason's last five contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Thursday, Mason didn't have quite enough to beat East Lansing and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Mason have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Waverly came into Monday's game having lost ten straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They beat Everett by a goal, winning 2-1.

Mason's loss dropped their record down to 9-5-2. As for Waverly, their win bumped their record up to 2-14-1.

Mason took their victory against Waverly when the teams last played back in May of 2017 by a conclusive 7-0 score. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
