Basketball Recap: Blackfoot Comes Up Short

Blackfoot was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 63-61 heartbreaker at the hands of the Shelley Russets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Broncos of the 58-37 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

When it comes to explaining why Blackfoot lost, don't look at Addison Tanner. Despite the final result, she went 9 for 20 on her way to 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cambrie Waterhouse, who posted eight points and eight rebounds.

Blackfoot's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Shelley, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Blackfoot didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-27 victory against Snake River on the 19th. As for Shelley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 58-33 defeat against Sugar-Salem on the 18th.
