Basketball Game Preview: Alexandria Trojans vs. Ouachita Parish Lions

Alexandria is 2-8 against Ouachita Parish since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Alexandria Trojans are taking a road trip to take on the Ouachita Parish Lions at 5:30 p.m. Alexandria will be strutting in after a win while Ouachita Parish will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, Alexandria was able to grind out a solid victory over Peabody, taking the game 41-32. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Ouachita Parish faced off against Ruston on Tuesday. Ouachita Parish took a 52-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ruston. The Lions have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Ouachita Parish's defeat dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Alexandria, their win bumped their record up to 22-6.

Alexandria skirted past Ouachita Parish 61-58 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Alexandria since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
