Softball Recap: Eight Straight Home Victories for Astronaut

There's no place like home for Astronaut, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. Everything went their way against the Titusville Terriers on Tuesday as they made off with a 9-0 win. The result was nothing new for the War Eagles, who have now won four matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The result came thanks to Faith Gallini's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Riley Miller was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Elka Koziana also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Titusville, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
