Volleyball Recap: North Stanly Comets vs. Randleman Tigers
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but North Stanly had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Randleman Tigers with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Comets as they're now sitting on 19 straight.
North Stanly's got stronger as the match went on, holding Randleman to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-19, 25-18.
Shalyn Bell paced North Stanly's offense, picking up 20 kills. Bell got some help from
Kylie Speight and her 36 assists.
Allie Morgan controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Despite the defeat, Randleman had strong showings from Kadie Green, who had 11 digs, and Natalie Roach, who had eight digs. Green has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.
North Stanly is on a roll lately: they've won 21 of their last 22 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 24-6 record this season. As for Randleman, their loss dropped their record down to 20-5.
