Softball Recap: Dover Takes a Loss

Dover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Goffstown Grizzlies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Green Wave of the 11-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Elizabeth Cook was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Dover's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Goffstown, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Dover will challenge Exeter at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Goffstown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
