Word of God Academy is 4-0 against John Paul the Great Academy since December of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Word of God Academy Force are taking a road trip to square off against the John Paul the Great Academy Guardians at 7:00 p.m. Word of God Academy will be strutting in after a victory while John Paul the Great Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Word of God Academy will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up 29 points on Monday, then bounced right back against NELA Christian Homeschool on Tuesday. Word of God Academy came out on top against NELA Christian Homeschool by a score of 57-45.

Zyere Cartwright was his usual excellent self, going 8 of 20 on his way to 25 points in addition to five assists and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Word of God Academy's points. George Franklin was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten steals.

Meanwhile, John Paul the Great Academy came up short against Christian Home Educators Fellowship on Tuesday, falling 57-33.

Word of God Academy will have to contain Evan Sonnier as he made an impact in John Paul the Great Academy's last game. He went 5 for 7 en route to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ezra Mouton, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Word of God Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for John Paul the Great Academy, they dropped their record down to 5-11 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Word of God Academy took their win against John Paul the Great Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 46-26.
