Softball Recap: Lawton Comes Up Short

Lawton made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Schoolcraft, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 7-5 on Tuesday. The Blue Devils' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it seven in a row dating back to last season.

Paityn Beam was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Lawton's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Schoolcraft, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

While Lawton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
