Recap: Juab Wasps vs. Richfield Wildcats

The Juab Wasps managed to slip by the Richfield Wildcats the last time these teams faced off, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Juab was the victim of a tough 48-26 defeat at the hands of Richfield on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Juab has scored all season.

Juab's loss came despite strong showings from Daymon Wright and Braxton Hooper. Wright scored three points along with two steals, while Hooper scored six points along with seven rebounds and two steals.

It was another big night for Miles Barnett, who scored 19 points along with two steals for Richfield. The team also got some help courtesy of Jorgen Southwick, who scored eight points.

Juab has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season. As for Richfield, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.

Juab will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Manti at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Manti's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight matches. As for Richfield, they will head out on the road to challenge Delta at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Delta focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
