Softball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Blacksher's Fifth in Last Six Outings

15 must be Blacksher's lucky number: they beat Chickasaw with that score not once but twice on Wednesday. The Bulldogs didn't even let the Chieftains on the board, marking the Bulldogs' second-straight 15-0 shutout. Considering the Bulldogs have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Laney Saucer was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Kadence Dailey was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1.

Blacksher was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of 1.000. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Blacksher has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Chickasaw, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-11-1.

Coming up, Blacksher will be taking part in a tournament against Robertsdale at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chickasaw, they will welcome LeFlore at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rattlers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.2 runs per game on average), something the Chieftains will no doubt try to take advantage of.
