The biggest upset of the week belonged to Waterloo, who took down 452nd ranked Garfield, 29-24.

Jerry Judd and Devin Rencher provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Rootstown. The connection went for 97 yards, the longest such play in Portage Trail - County this season.

Rencher was the best receiver in the league this week as Streetsboro topped the Rovers. Rencher racked up 4 receptions for 123 yards.

Dakari Carter made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Rockets defeated Rootstown. The 5-foot-9 freshman.

Chase Chapman put up the best numbers in passing as the G-Men lost to the Vikings. He finished with 21 completions for 307 yards. Chapman's favorite target this week was Bob Bissler, who caught 5 passes for 128 yards.

He was 21-37 with 1 interception.

Chapman was the best running back in the league this week. In 21 carries, he ran for 82 yards as Garfield bested the Rovers. Seth Duvall also contributed to the rushing game with 28 yards on the ground.

Leading Portage Trail - County in both passing and receiving yards, Mike Moser's team's Chapman and Fred Maxey have proven to be a lethal combination. Chapman has thrown for 946 yards this season, while Maxey, a 6-foot-4 receiver, has 18 catches for 333 yards. John Arlesic's team's Johnathan Williams leads the league in rushing yards with 577.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Mogadore takes on Woodridge. The Wildcats are in first place, while the Bulldogs are in third place.

Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Mogadore beat Springfield 38-16,. The win marks fourth in a row for the Matthew Adorni's team.
