Softball Recap: Western Beats West Broward for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Western extended their postseason success on Thursday against West Broward. They won by a run and slipped past the Bobcats 5-4. The victory was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on five straight.

Ali Solo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Danae Falquez, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Butter, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Western's record now sits at 20-5-1. As for West Broward, they moved to 18-8 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Western nor the Bobcats have any future games scheduled.
